1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mantra Technologies ("we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the Mantra Finance desktop application (the "App").
2. Information stored by the App
The App may store financial transactions, client or company details, contact information, profile information, report data, preferences, logo or photo paths, and API credentials that you choose to enter. This information is stored in a local SQLite database and related application files on your device.
3. Optional Google services
If you choose to connect Google services, the App requests limited permissions to:
- Create, update and restore the Mantra Finance database backup in your Google Drive using the
drive.filepermission. - Send a report from your Gmail account when you deliberately use the email feature using the
gmail.sendpermission.
Google authorization tokens are stored locally on your device. Your use of these services is also governed by Google's privacy policy and account controls. You may revoke access through your Google Account.
4. Optional Gemini features
If you add a Gemini API key and use an AI feature, the information needed to perform that request—such as transaction descriptions, selected financial records, cash-flow data, or your question—may be sent to Google's Gemini service. Do not use an AI feature with information you do not want transmitted to that provider. Without an API key, supported assistance features operate in local fallback mode.
5. Information we do not automatically collect
The desktop App does not automatically create a Mantra account or upload your local finance database to Mantra Technologies. We do not use the App to automatically collect advertising identifiers, location information, or behavioral analytics.
6. Security and your responsibilities
We use reasonable design measures, but no device or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your Windows account, Google account, API keys and backups. Anyone with access to your computer or exported reports may be able to view your information.
7. Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you delete it through the App or remove the App's data files. Google Drive backups, sent emails and provider-side activity remain subject to your Google settings and provider retention rules. Uninstalling the App may not automatically remove every database, backup or exported report.
8. Children's privacy
Mantra Finance is a general finance tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through a Mantra-operated online account for this App.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
